The translation goes like this : &#8220;The case is in the bag&#8221;. Today, it means that something is a done deal. But where does it come from?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the French Revolution changed the judiciary system, when a trial was being prepared, all the pieces of evidence of the case were put in a bag.
